Eunice Pierce (1778-1829) was the daughter of Henry Peirce and Sara Coffin.  She married merchant Robert Hale of Newburyport.  They had five children.

The miniature is offered with Eunice's sampler, worked circa 1795.

Set in the original gilded copper locket frame with cast foliate border, the reverse with aperture containing plaited hair.

1 3/16 inches in diameter.   Sampler: 8 1/8 inches high.
