This is an unusually large and splendid example of Slater's work.

Set in a giltwood frame. Signed "I W Slater/ 1823" on the column base, lower right.

5 1/5 inches (13.5 cm) high.

Isaac Wane Slater (1785-1836), exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1821-1836. A member of an artistic family, Slater's two brothers and father were also artists. Slater's works are rare.
