A baby girl by Charles Foot Tayler, signed & dated 1819. 

This delightful portrait was painted when the artist was only nineteen years old.

 Set in the original patterned brass mount, signed both on the front and on the backing card. 

2 7/16 inches (6.2 cm) high.

 Charles Foot Tayler (1798-1853) exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1820-1853.  In 1822, Tayler moved to Bath where he lived and worked for the rest of his life.  There his distinguished clientele included many actors and officers.  Examples of Tayler's work may be seen in the Victoria & Albert Museum.
