Set in the original burl wood easel-back frame with patterned ormolu mount.

3 1/8 inches (8 cm) wide.

Fernand Paillet (c. 1840-1918) exhibited at the Salon de Paris. A pupil of Carrier-Belleuse, Paillet worked in enamel, watercolors and porcelain, as a decorator for Sèvres.
